Preparation
Koi-Kote is a surface tolerant lining but as with all coatings
the better the surface preparation, the better the performance.
For
Concrete the latency should be removed by mechanical abrasion.
For
screeded ponds remove loose dust. The smoother the screed
the smoother the finish. Note: When using sharp sand render,
only use a float finish. When using fibres in render these
should be burnt off prior to application.
For
GRP, the surface will require abrading.
Application
- (Mixing)
Koi-Kote comes in pre-measured amounts; mix A & B until
a consistent colour is achieved; a power mixer is necessary
to achieve thorough mixing. Do not mix too fast or for too
long as it produces heat that will shorten its usable life.
